As part of the Trophy Tour for the MSIG Serenity Cup™ 2025, MSIG Indonesia and MSIG Life proudly hosted the MSIG U-12 Girls Football Festival in Jakarta this past July. This initiative reflects MSIG’s strong commitment to empowering women through sports, particularly football.
The festival brought together 120 girls aged 6 to 11 from various football clubs across Jakarta and surrounding areas. More than just a tournament, the festival created a space for young girls to play, learn, and dream, while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game from an early age.
Organized in collaboration with MSIG Indonesia and MSIG Life with Asosiasi Sepak Bola Wanita Indonesia (ASBWI) and supported by AirAsia, the festival aimed to strengthen the development of women’s football at the grassroots level. As the official governing organization for women’s football in Indonesia, ASBWI provided essential support to align the event with broader efforts to empower women through sport.
Coaching Clinics and Fun Matches to Inspire the Next Generation
The MSIG U-12 Girls Football Festival was designed not just as a sports event, but as a meaningful community activation to empower, inspire, and celebrate the spirit of football, while strengthening MSIG’s connection with local communities.
Through coaching clinics and friendly matches, the event encouraged young girls to embrace courage, collaboration, and joy in sport. By bringing together U-12 football teams from across Greater Jakarta, the festival offered an inclusive opportunity for girls to experience football in a supportive environment.
A highlight of the day was the presence of two players from the Indonesian Women’s National Team, who joined the festival to share their personal journeys, from grassroots training in local football schools to representing the country on the international stage. The players opened the session with a freestyle showcase before joining the young participants in a friendly match, creating unforgettable moments and plenty of smiles on the pitch.
Their stories served as a powerful reminder that big dreams are within reach of everyone including girls who are willing to work hard and believe in herself.
Trophy Tour and MSIG’s Support for Women’s Football in the Region
The festival was also part of the MSIG Serenity Cup™ Trophy Tour, giving participants and their families the rare chance to see the prestigious trophy up close. As the symbol of Southeast Asia’s premier women’s football championship, the trophy inspired pride, ambition, and excitement among the young attendees.
Through this initiative, MSIG reaffirms its commitment as the Title Partner of the ASEAN Women’s Championship and its ongoing support for youth development, inclusivity, and community engagement through football.
